The PI proposes to study different aspects of correlated topological materials, which are relevant to the experimental research at Princeton MRSEC center. We propose to address the following topics. First, we will numerically investigate the quantum phase diagrams for spin liquid candidates ?-RuCl3 and Herbertsmithite. We will study their phase diagrams with tuning different parameters and comparing with experimental observations. Second, we will investigate STM spectrum for different fractionalized topological states to provide benchmark results for experimental research. The proposed research will be carried out through collaborations with Haldane and other MRSEC members.
