College Pathways San Fernando Valley Network

Through the San Fernando Valley Scholars Network (SFVSN), CSUN EOP Resilient Scholars Program (EOP RSP) will be able to provide deliberate outreach and recruitment to the foster youth populations at LA Mission, LA Valley and Pierce Colleges. Utilizing the First-Step workshops at each of the campuses we will assist students in completing the CSU Mentor application, CSUN EOP application, the FAFSA application, and CSUN Housing application. SFVSN participants will be eligible to participate in a 5-week EOP Summer Transfer Bridge program. Students will be able to: earn up to 3 units of upper division General Education; work with an Academic Mentor to ensure their success in the course; meet with EOP Satellite academic support staff in the college of their major; become familiar with the campus and all the support systems available. The SFVSN grant will allow EOP RSP to expand services to the CSUN foster youth community.
