This is a mini grant (sub-award) being applied for from the NSF I-corps/ CSUPERB program, where CSUN would be a sub awardee of San Diego State University. The purpose of this funding being applied for (in the amount of $2500) is to do an initial study to understand the commercial viability of a product being developed. The funding will be used to conduct approximately 30 interviews with potential customers and understand how to pivot our product, which is a diabetic smart shoe insert. The purpose of this initial exploratory study is that the product development team can create a product that would be accepted in the market and has a higher chance of succeeding.
