California State University, Northridge will contribute the following services and goods: 1) Oversee a tutor coordinator who will recruit, hire, and train CSUN students to tutor our students at our four Gear UP schools; s/he will communicate regularly with Project GRAD?s tutoring coordinator to ensure quality control and fiscal responsibility 2) Provide material support for Project GRAD college outreach and recruitment events: Walk for Success, Summer Institutes, Parent Summit, and Annual Retreat CSUN will provide support of services for these events. 3) Host college visits from our school sites, including the Bridge to College and College: Making It Happen. CSUN will provide support of services for these events. 4) Support Project GRAD efforts to retain students once they have gained admission to CSUN: peer mentoring (CREW), on-campus club for Project GRAD Scholars, and coordination with other student support services CSUN will provide a portion of its coordinator?s time to devote to these activities. 5) Support Project GRAD high schools by informing staff and students of the Early Assessment Program CSUN will provide support of services for these events related to EAP outreach and awareness. 6) Provide professional development seminars in literacy to teachers at Project GRAD schools CSUN will provide support of services for these events.
